Trafolink tanks are fabricated from high grade steel sheets and plates. The additional cooling surface is provided by cooling tubes fitted in the form of coolers or headers. Individual cooler or header is tested at 20 PSI and the completed tank is checked at 15-18 PSI.
Inner and outer surfaces of tank are thoroughly cleaned, mill scale is removed and grease and other foreign matter are washed off. A clean and dry surface with sufficient roughness is achieved for the application of primer coat. All transformers normally receive one under coat one intermediate coat and one final coat of synthetic enamel paint. In general the color is grey but other color can be provided.
We manufacture both conservator type and sealed type transformers. In the sealed type construction inner air is not repelled out during load and no-load conditions. In the conservator type construction the conservator is connected to the tank cover by a pipe and is equipped with oil level gauge and silicagel breather. This allows the expansion and contraction of inner air of the transformer.
The bushings are made from wet process porcelain, homogenous and free from all flaws. They are brown glazed, well vitrified, tough and impervious to moisture Permissible rating of neutral bushing is 100 percent.
